Saving Organisations Like Yours Thousands of Work Hours
Jumping Rivers is an analytics company whose passion is data and machine learning. We help our clients move from data storage to data insights.
"Jumping Rivers were key to the design and implementation of our Posit environment, and work with us to ensure it is always securely patched with regular planned upgrades to the latest versions. Jumping Rivers also provide us with support, and we have found them to be a very knowledgeable and reliable partner, helping us with any questions related to R or surrounding analytics technologies."
Jumping Rivers is a data science consultancy and training provider founded in Newcastle in 2016. We specialise in R, Python, Shiny, Quarto and the wider open source analytics ecosystem, working primarily with regulated and public sector organisations. Our clients include teams across pharma and life sciences, the NHS and public health, central and local government, financial services and insurance.
Our work covers the full data science lifecycle. We train teams, build applications and data pipelines, and manage the infrastructure that supports them. Bringing these services together allows us to support clients from early skills development through to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Our partnership with Posit began in 2018 and includes licence resale, deployment, managed services, accredited training and ongoing support. We are accredited across the full Posit product stack.
Alongside our client work, we organise the Shiny in Production and AI in Production conferences in Newcastle, support the North East Data Scientists and Leeds Data Science meetups, contribute to open source R packages, and regularly speak at events including posit::conf, EARL, useR! and PyData.

Package inconsistencies causing analyses to fail across nodes, or individual jobs consuming all available resources. We rebuild the configuration so the platform is stable and can scale.
Migrating an on-premises estate to AWS or Azure, with Kubernetes or Slurm to support autoscaling and more demanding workloads.
For teams without an in-house infrastructure specialist. We manage the platform, the team uses it, and there is no need to hire a dedicated DevOps engineer.
Converting legacy syntax to R or Python, providing the environment to run it, and training the team to work with the new tools.
Auditing an existing estate ahead of a licence renewal, security review or wider infrastructure decision.
